1 Hour lesson with Tom Slater. Students are required to also pay the floor fee wherever their lesson takes place. At the Panache Studio floor fees are $15 for the main floor, $10 for the back room and $7 for the small rehearsal space and are paid directly to the Studio at the time of the lesson. Panache also offers a package of 10 floor rentals for $100 if you would like to pay in advance and receive a discount (this allows you to rehearse on the main floor if it is available).
Tom Slater moved to Bloomington from San Francisco where he taught,
coached and choreographed at the Metronome Ballroom.
Tom has been dancing for over 30 years and was a World Champion Cabaret dancer as well as National winner of the Showtime division of the West Coast Swing world.
Tom has performed in Theatres across the US from the Metropolitan Opera
House in New York to the Kennedy Center in DC and even the Greek Theatre
in Los Angeles.
Tom has been featured in 5 national commercials and several
movies (among them "Dance With Me", starring Vanessa Williams).
Tom combines the skills he's learned from all his experiences into a
comprehensive and unique form of instruction that brings out the natural
movement in any performer.
He is Master Teacher for the Bloomington Ballroom Teachers Academy and a certified examiner for DVIDA.
